CFD parschool, L’Aquila (Italy) 12-17 July 2026

On 14th July 2026, Matteo Zanfrognini presented the talk “An introduction to the Lattice Boltzmann Method for industrial applications” during the 2026 edition of the CFD parschool in L’Aquila (Italy). Held every year since 2022, this school provides a general overview of state-of-the-art numerical methods in CFD to a broad audience of academic and industrial researchers, with focus on usage and optimization of research CFD codes on HPC clusters. After a brief theoretical introduction about the Lattice Boltzmann Method, he has discussed the activities carried out within MultiXscale, aimed at improving the accuracy and efficiency of waLBerla code in the simulation of industrially-relevant turbulent flows.
